Here Hayden Puppy....

The kids like to take turns being eachother's pets. Usually it is either Hayden Puppy or Yvette Puppy. Sometimes it is Yvette Monster, but we won't go there.

"Hayden puppy want to eat?....eat boy, eat."

One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other...

She was so proud of her shoe choice(s). I just couldn't shatter that.

MY Jesus...

In our preparations for Christmas we decided to remove the large beautiful picture we have of Our (crucified) Lord's face. We love this picture. It has always held a central place in every home we've lived in. However, we decided this year to take it down during those weeks of preparation for the BIRTH of Our Lord. And instead we replaced it with beautiful nativity scenes, garland, and as many "baby Jesus'" as we could find. This morning we pulled the picture out of the closet and returned it to it's spot. Yvette saw what we were doing and yelled, "YAY!!! MY Jesus is back!" She proceeded to want to be held so she could touch the picture, give Him kisses, and welcome Him "back home". So precious!!!

FYI: The same girl who cried the biggest crocodile tears as I was packing up all FOUR of our nativity scenes scattered throughout the house. "I want MY baby Jesus!!!!....Don't hide Him!!!!" I almost left them out. Well, I did leave out 1 Baby Jesus for her to shove in her pocket. Such intense devotion this child has as such a young age.

Story Time With Dad...

I loved watching this tonight.

Unexpected Visitor

John peeked out the kitchen window the other day and saw this.

The pheasant marched into the garage and a few minutes later decided he'd had enough and left without even saying HELLO!

He comes. He eats (from the bird feeder). He leaves.

That's My Girl!

Head first...literally....into helping with the cinnamon rolls. Classic!

To The Rescue!

Hayden is sitting on the toilet and all of a sudden I hear, "AHHHH! Mom!....there is an evil ladybug on the floor!!" Silence for a few seconds....then a loud bang. "Don't worry. You are all safe." He sits back on the toilet and continues on with business.

Preserving Love (at it's best!)

My parents gave us a Food Saver for Christmas. Practical and oh so wonderful! I used it for the first time tonight. 4 - 2lb bags of burger and 4 - 2lb pork sirloin roasts later......

I want to go get some more meat to seal! I think my older brother needs cookies. Yes. Yes he does! I'm making cookies tomorrow to send to Colin. YAY!

I am my mother's daughter.

And damn proud of that!!!! ;-)

Keeping The Nose

You know that game where your teasing uncle squeezes your nose and says he's stealing it?. Well, John has been doing that to Hayden. It's kinda cute to watch them play this game. "Give it back Dad!.....I NEED my nose!" John gives it back. Then Hayden comes to me looking like this and says, "See Mom....now Daddy can't steal my nose anymore."

....the things they come up with!

Brother to Brother

I woke up this morning to giggles and this:

"Hi Mom!.....I just love my brother so much."

I wanted so much to climb in there and smother them with kisses it was so cute. These kids drive me crazy and melt my heart on a daily basis!

(a pic from a couple weeks ago....Wyatt was SO excited to be on the couch with Hayden!)

Super Hero

These two love playing "super hero". The simple things that keep them busy and their imaginations rolling. I LOVE it!

And of course Yvette had to add her own accessories to her super hero cape...

Heading To Work

"Bye Mom!....I'm heading to work!"

...need I say more?...;-)

I Love Him...

I LOVE these kinds of pictures! There is something about a man holding his kids that makes the world a better place, don't you think? I don't know any other way to describe it. But looking at this makes everything alright in my world.

*sigh*

A Wonderful Afternoon...

For the first time ever, we got all the grandkids (all but one) together...under one roof....in the same picture...WITHOUT tears! Quite the accomplishment I'd say.

Oh they had fun!!!

Hopefully we can do it again in the future! The kids had so much fun and played so well together!

Oh What Fun It Is To Ride...

"..in a no-horse open sled."

"Mom! Mom!...come look......I'm sledding!!!!!"

He was so proud. I just couldn't rain on his parade by telling him, "no Hayden...you aren't sledding." Couldn't do it. I just had to capture the moment.
